Veary true suggestion from your side .Thanks
Phil health is the cheapest health insurance in the Philippines. 17.000 pesos a year. As long as you have a ARC card which you get after 59 days. If you have a SSRV visa it is only 15.000 pesos. Private insurance is very expensive in the Philippines.
Phil health cost only 46 pesos per day and is good too use in all hospitals. There is no cheaper health insurance in the Philippines.
Private travel insurance is not valid for Mindanao Island so the only way too get insurance if you travel anywhere on Mindanao is Phil health.
How old are you Sir?
Interesting and useful video about travel insurance thank you. Part of your video looks like the resort I stayed at in Camiguin in February. I always have annual travel insurance, but I doubt that it will cover COVID 19.
I really appreciate your vids. I have watched many and you have earned my subscription for sure. I have lived in the Phils for 5 years now and never had insurance. I qualify for Philhealth via my wife, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. She has quite a decent HSA that seems to work for her. I need to get coverage. I have had a couple minor surgeries and the quality of the work was very good. The surgery on my hand cost me $250 USD total and you can’t even see the stitch marks. Our dentist is awesome, trained in Japan and did extensive, awesome work on me and my wife. One important thing is to either bring someone to the hospital and/or be able to pay the doctor’s in cash. I recommend having a native speaker in tow just in case. You can usually put the bill on a card, but the Docs usually have their fee paid in cash. And quite often the ATM in the hospital is out of order. My wife had to run to the ATM for me after surgery before they would let me go home, lol. I did do my homework on where to get things done though. In Asia, since medical tourism is very high, or was, and it is important to know which hospitals are the best in your area. I live close to 5 of the best in the country in Metro Manila, so I have choices. Knee and hip replacements are common here, as are other orthopedic specialties, so that appeals to me. Bangkok is another good spot for that stuff. Surgeries done outside these better hospitals can be really hit and miss and by a large margin. Avoid the public hospitals in the province like the plague for anything but basic services. But for basic care and minor issues, everyone should do their homework…ask Filipinos, they will gladly tell you which are the best and worst places for medical care. Happy trails, and thanks!
