    1. @LifeBeyondTheSea – Philippines Thanks Henry; I think he was referring to my adventures in the barrios and provinces.  There is mostly solid pavement to her place and my Yamaha loves that!  She is extremely nice but is super devoted to her family which is awesome and will probably want to live in her small town.  Can I live there instead of a larger city?  I’m not sure.  I’ll keep you posted.  Be safe~

    2. @FoodAndGardenChannel “yamaha stuck in the mud”.. is that codespeak for “don’t pull a muscle”?   hehe  have fun mike, and i’m glad you crossed paths with merz.  from what you mentioned she seems like a good woman.   wishing you a great new year.  😀

    3.  We’re glad to see that you have company for the holidays since you’re so far away from home. Don’t get the Yamaha stuck in the Mud. LOL !

  7. Glad you are happy and finally sleeping at night.  If you think about it the personal assistant tragedy (exaggeration) was a blessing in disguise.  I am pretty sure Lyn would not have been to interested in having Bea as a live in anything lol!

    1. @Cory Risseeuw i try not to stress out too much or too long when things don’t go ‘as planned’.. because eventually, things do work out.  often even better than i had planned.  🙂

  8. Hi Henry,
Yes it has been an interesting year. Sometimes you go with the flow and sometimes you fight upstream. But such is life…no? Hope your life and all other things continue to go well for you.
Interesting that many people comment about not being alone for the holidays and say after all you are far from home. Really? I thought this is your home now. So you are at most only a few miles away from it at any given time.
Take care and have an excellent New Year,
    Fred

  9. 1. @DemocracyDoctor1 she’s a hard-working girl, but she always has a smile on her face for me at the end of her shift when i pick her up.  🙂

  12. I have question for viewers If ti’s ok  Has anyone checked out the comparison of a Ki visa or just getting married  as which way is more convenient and less expensive to take a woman back to the USA???!!1   TKS

  13. Very nice Henry.  Looks like the year is wrapping up nicely, and 2015 is starting on a good foot.  Happy  New Year to you and Lyn, and your family.

  14. Hi Henry and a Happy New Year
Is it a mandatory thing in the Philippines to ask the parents for permission to date their daughter?  Also, are you allowed to live together before marriage or is this frowned upon by the parents?

    1. @Paul johnson it’s not mandatory with all filipinas.  some live an island away from their parents and pretty much do whatever they want.  but the ‘keeper’, more serious, conservative filipinas are more likely to be close to their family and expect a visit to the parents.   as for living together, i’ve not come across any issues from parents about it.  with my current g/f (Lyn), i asked her parents permission for her to live with me in the near future and they were fine with it.  bottom line, just expect it more than you would from a western girl, but it won’t be all the time.

  15. Don’t look back life is very short, keep your eye on whats a ahead. enjoy live, breath and remember nothing can cause more misery in life than a woman.

  16. Hi Henry
Would it be at possible for you to make a video on your life of past and present? By that I mean looking at your life say four or five years ago and how it has changed or maybe how you may have changed up to the present time now you are living in the Philippines full time. It would be nice to hear how such a life changing move has changed and made an impact upon the way you viewed and lived your life back then and how it has changed throughout the transitions to the present time. It would be an interesting video for people like myself who are looking to move out there.
    Regards
    Paul
