  1. Very sorry to hear about this Ned. Hope everything works out for you guys. Chichay is glowing and you look happy and well fed. Stay safe my friend.

  2. That’s a shame man. Just trying to do good is not always rewarding I guess. Could you do me a favor and look at the camera? Looking up in the air drives me crazy ๐Ÿ™‚ Just sayin’

  3. Hey Ned this is one Filipina who has a YouTube channel how reported you I will not say names
My suggestion is that your as a Filipina can do it alone thought her Channel as a Filipino you don’t need to have a charity to hand out free food

  4. So what is the problem? You are not soliciting any money. It’s YOUR patreon money. And if you want to spend it on food for kids, then that’s your business. I imagine that whoever complained is just a troll. Or some local crook that wants you to form a charity so they can get a cut. Keep doing what you’re going brother. God bless you.

  5. We feed the local elementary school, but it is under my Philippino wife, now that you are married your wife should be able to do it and you can assist her

  6. I cannot help but to ask why you don’t get an SRRV? Of course now with the quarantine the PRA offices are not open. I would think this would be to your benefit.

  7. can you not just change that patrion to you wife and let her handle it and give her advice?she is local so cant be a problem i guess, then the kids still get their spagetti

  8. If you simply run your channel like any other vlogger and keep the word locals or PhilippineO’s out of the same sentence with what you are trying to achieve! Very simple guilt cannot be blamed if you have a bbq and people come! Just dont blab about it on YouTube or in public IN THE SAME SENTENCE!! have fun!
The difference between a good golfer and a bad one? Stroke of the pencil

  9. I’m curious to find out what agency told you this, or maybe you can point me to the rules online? I ask, as I spent about $3500 last December feeding mostly street kids and also so doctor and dentist visits. Of course I had no permanent address as I was only there for a month.

  10. I suppose the reason are to save face and avoid looking as if they are not helping their own people and to prevent the (very rare) cases of exploitation, which to be honest is a 1000% worse when the U.N gets involved in mass feeding programs.

  11. Obviously someone has made a complaint for no reason, but this has happened with other channels, its jealousy that you are better than them. Let Chichay do it because she will not need any paperwork methinks.

  12. What a bummer doesn’t make sense to me but I’m sure they have an underlying reason for such a rule.Your looking good ChiChy (spelling) hope your feeling well maybe in the future Ned you can get some type of ok for the spagettifest.

  13. I am hoping to find some way to be helpful when we move to the PI. What types of VISA would allow us to do something charitable without risking the wrath of the government there? Or how do you obtain the required paperwork to do so?

    Thanks,
    Mike

  14. Ned, there is obviously an asshole or holes in Dumaguete that has reported you.. If you recall this also happened to the young Swiss Fella living in Duma.. All good things must come to an end.. Whoever sited that phrase is an ancestor of the person who reported you.. I would bet that he is sitting, and giggling to his effort.. I know you will figure it out.. Take care, Brother.. Aaaaoooaah!!!

  15. Ned I think you need to double check this “government agency” I think its a scam ,,,,,,There is another youtuber Syrian Dude and he makes videos helping out the poor and he has over 2 million subscribersย  if he can do it you can to do it too ,,,,don’t give up

  16. Hey buddy how are ya? Wow that sucks don’t they see you are doing a good thing just to do a good thing? Ya the Philippines is a funny place. Last month I got pulled over for driving while white?? I showed my ID and the officer was cool, wanted to make sure I was following the rules. Now if he stopped half the guys on scooters around me he could of had a field day! Oh well so goes it as a rich Kano in the province? (Im not by US standards ). Thanks Ned for all you do on you channel, and don’t let the trolls get ya down!! 0

  17. Its horrible how the Philippine government denies the charitable intentions of ex Pats in the Philippines…..while their fellow countryman go hungry and suffer. Meanwhile as money gets handed down, everyone gets their take until nothing is left for its intended purpose!

  18. Had a similar problem ,people could not understand my motives helping feed poor families ,just something I enjoyed doing !Not asking for donations ,Sad really
,Anyway congratulations on your charity work and hope to meet you one day when the crisis is over God bless Chris

  19. 2:53. Haha ๐Ÿ˜„ thats some personal growth right there. ๐Ÿ˜‰ … but really I’m just giving you a hard time and please be careful over there during these crazy times

  20. It’s a shame that your charity has been ruined! I have been watching your channel for many years but not a Patreon to any channel. I do think your an honest guy and made your channel just to help people moving to PHL and even wrote a book. You never came across as a guy trying to exploit the Philippines for subs and possible profits. There seems to be a lot of channels that are trying to make a business out of their channels and it’s sad when they say they are a charity but the reality they are a business and without oversight and validation that the money they earned or raised is really doing something and helping the poor.
On a personal note, I would love to see some type of campaign with monies that are raised on these huge channels actually go to anti-pollute and “no more plastic” efforts. The environment needs help and the world is being suffocated by all the filth.

  21. I agree with others, apply for a Permanent Resident Visa. There is also the SRRV which is also a Retirement Resident Visa, if you were in the military or retired military, they have special low SRRV deposit Rates for Courtesy SRRV Visa.

  22. I just talked to another vlogger about that. They are strict about foreigners helping filipinos. I’m sure its a mixture of saving face and not getting a piece of the action.

  23. I saw a YT video where they said foreigners can be arrested for any benevolence towards children, out of concern they may be soliciting sex or grooming them.
