  1. Nice Place Sir Henry. I didnt get a chance to get to the beach there yet. I can see its set up for tourist because of the prices shown on their signs. You have to take the boat ride on the River Cruise in Bohol. I forget the name of the river but think it was something like Loboc or something near that. It was on the way to Carmen and chocolate hills. Its cost 300-400 P and that includes a buffet lunch plus music and dancing …Well that’s how it was back in 2009.

  2. I’m not sure, but I think that’s Loboc River on Panglao, with the floating restaurant. I’m figuring on going there soon. 🙂

  3. That would be the one I am speaking of. They really turned the river into a tourist attraction. They had a person on the boat doing Don Ho thing and sang while the food was out. Then they must of had 40 people at the rivers headwaters that came out and dances for everyone. They do this for every boat all day. It keeps lots of people employed and doing something. I don’t think you could get that many in the states to do something like this at least not for very long. 😉

  4. How’s the salt content compared to the pacific in California, compared to the Atlantic I found the water there almost like sweet water, but that’s just my opinion

  5. It was salty, but it didn’t seem (to me) as salty as California water. Maybe because the CA water has more seaweed mixed into it. ??

  6. I’ve been back to Alona several times.. never did run into any pushy vendors, fat or otherwise. Maybe people complained and got rid of him/her.

  7. Seems more expensive than Thailand ….And don’t like everything being in US dollars… albeit there were Peso prices. Just be nice to sit somewhere less resorty….cheap food and drinks…. You could easily blow through a hundred there…..If on holidays – for a week then fine… but do that everyday while living there… Would need to be watchful… what do you think Henry? Thanks for the vid

    1. @IntlExec Iceland ha!  i still haven’t learned enough conversational tagalog yet.  only words and short phrases.  🙂   (i’m from usa, myself.)

  8. Alona beach is the most beautiful and most developed beach of Panglao Island. With its crystal clear blue water and white sand it feels relaxing to stay there. Check out @Philippine Beach Holidays for more beach holidays update! Cheers!! 🙂

  9. Hi! Just sort of found your videos from Neds Philippine Dream and so far so good and been watching all day. Thanks for all your sincere thoughts and just plain relaxing videos. 👍🏼😊

  10. You should have come to Dumaluan Beach in Panglao Bohol..its cleaner and longer white sandy beach..there you will not see star fish is really beautiful paradise. Most tourist dont know Dumaluan..that’s why they regret at the end now come back and go there🖐️😃

    1. i do love dumaluan beach, it’s beautiful and pristine. enjoy it before some developer buys it and turns it into another boracay.
