In this YouTube live stream, I discuss the current state of Thailand’s Tourism and travel industry in 2021. The year 2020 hit Thailand’s thriving tourism industry hard. The recovery of Thailand’s international and domestic tourism industry looked promising until a few weeks ago, when another outbreak of an illness appeared in Thailand. Currently, the lock down, closures, and restrictions are being implemented by each Provincial Mayor. Though the Thai government is trying to do the right thing, by having different rules in different provinces, it is creating chaos, in terms of traveling domestically in Thailand. Even international traveler’s who have gone through the medical process after arriving in Thailand, are having trouble understanding which province’s they can or cannot travel to. Expats in Thailand are no different. Expats in Thailand who want to travel domestically are having trouble keeping up with the ever-changing rules of Thailand’s officials. I know Thailand is doing the best they can. This video is not an attempt to smear Thailand’s government in any way. Thailand is doing a good job adapting to the conditions. You must give the Thai government credit where it is due. They have done a good job, and continue to do so. Let’s just hope things return to normal quickly in Thailand for the sake of the people and the economically painful tourism industry.
