    1. Thank you ๐Ÿ™ so far my friends in Italy are ok. The people in Italy, like all of the world are in my thoughts and prayers. Stay safe! All the best!

  2. Best to you and Gift at these “interesting” times….. But, at least, you have sprucing and working around the house–and enjoying the countryside!

  3. Not a bad place. Who do you use for internet?. I liked 3BB when I lived there. I also had a honda PCX 150 and loved it. I would get what’s called first class insurance on your vehicles. I’m thinking about coming back in Dec for about 3 to 6 months.

    1. Thank you ๐Ÿ™ my friend. We moved our True Vision contract from Bangkok to Prachuap, Service was turned on the next day. Stay safe! All the best!

  4. Wow, that’s a steal at that price. It’s worth that for the location alone. It even comes with a free dog 555. Good timing to be out of BKK i think. This situation won’t last forever and after you can explore your new area. Be happy.

  5. “Rob” is twentyseconds in thailand- Thailand Rob youtube channel. Hi joe. i have trip reservation for May 13, no cancellation notice yet! hopefully Nok and i can meet you.

    1. I met Rob a few times my friend. I also have three other friends here named Rob. Lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ I hope things get better soon and you and your wife we be able to keep your travel plans. Stay safe! All the best!

  6. Hi Joe, I love the scooter , I was in Chiang Mai for two months a couple years ago and rented a Honda pcx150 for my entire stay, had so much fun on it I bought one when I got home ( last summer my Harley never left the garage )…and probably won’t again this summer.
That looks like a cool little place , looking forward to your ” tour of the town ” videos . I hope you and Gift stay safe and enjoy your well deserved retirement !

    1. Prachuap Khiri Khan my friend. I found it through word of mouth. Iโ€™ve seen several other places. Prices as low as 3,000 baht to 15,000 baht. I think I found the only one in my location available with the sea view. Stay safe! All the best!

  7. We live in the Midwest of the U.S so we nees an suv for snow n stuff. But do you really need an SUV in Thailand? Do they have 2WD options? Thank You Joe.

    1. I prefer an SUV for travel and safety reasons my friend. They do sell 2WD as well but I plan on some mountain trips and in some locations itโ€™s best to have 4 WD. Stay safe! All the best!

  8. Hi Joe, good to see you again. looks like a lovely location, made me miss Thailand so much listening to the birds in the background! I wish you both good health and stay safe.

  9. Easy math. KL times .62 equals M/h. 80 then is 50 mph. 3281/5280 = .62 . 3281 ft equals 1 KL. The reciprocal of .62 is 1.6 So 1.6 times 50 is 80. All this comes from 100 cm divided by 2.54 cm (1 inch) equals 39.37 inches divided by 12 = 3.281 ft. then times 1000 for a KL = 3,281.

  10. Your new place looks like a beautiful slice of heaven. I look forward to your new videos. My wife would like to know what district you are living in.

  11. เบงเบฑเบ‡เบฎเบฑเบ เบงเบฑเบ‡เบ™เปเป‰เบฒเปƒเบˆ says:

Hi Joe and Gift, Great to hear you guys are doing well. Itโ€™s good that you are out of Bangkok now. Best of luck til all this will be over soon ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

  12. Hello Joe and Gift. Wow big change with the new place. Looks really nice and laid back. Hope u both really enjoy yourselves. Things here in Henderson Nevada are not too bad. We’ve had 14 deaths about 650 cases of the virus. The testing is still all screwed up. So we don’t really know what’s going on. Anyway been home for about 20 days . Wish I was on the beach with u guys. Stay well my friends. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. @Foreigner Joe huge difference on the rent sir! I would imagine Bangkok would get old real quick. I’m not a fan of crowds. We have started the huge remodel on the house in Udon Thani. We canceled my wife’s travel plans for now though. Keep up the videos.

  13. Great video. Really, really enjoyed that. So nice to see someone that is calm and cool. With the constant bombardment of doom and gloom in the news and online, seeing you in your video actually helps decrease my stress level a lot.

  14. Yo Joe Dave from Canada I have family in Thailand I was heading their in February but was told to stay home I canโ€™t wait to go back keep up the news we donโ€™t always get the way it really is

  15. Hi Joe, can’t wait until time to retire. I’m actually past that time, but my Thai wife isn’t ready to retire here in Ca. We had to cancel our trip to Thailand next month because of the current problem. I’m going to retire from the Federal Gov. as well. We have a place in Surin that we’ll be moving to, hopefully soon.

    1. Thank you ๐Ÿ™ for your Service my friend. Hopefully things will get better soon and you guys can reschedule your trip here. Stay safe! All the best!

    1. @Foreigner Joe joe I am in Nonthaburi/Pakkret but really want to move out from city living your new Province looks nice and quiet and a sea breeze which is always welcome. Might take a look and maybe catch up with you guys as never did in Nonthaburi. Keep safe keep healthy

    1. @Foreigner Joe Many thanks. That’s what I reckoned. Maybe it’s time to move down the coast. Prachuap Khiri Kan is nice but when it’s hot, it’s hot LOL. Is HH your immigration office? Enjoy your new abode.

  20. The cottage looks great Joe. You’ll have to plant yourself some vegetables to grow and eat. Looking forward to seeing more of where you’re living now. Good luck and take care. You and gift are an amazing couple

  21. Hey, Joe just to let you know, I used the Bangkok Hospital, in Hua Hin. Tried ti use my Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance from America. They would not do Direct Bill, for Out-Patient services. They want you to pay up front and get reimbursed from Blue Cross Blue Shield. Took a while to get reimbursed. Just a heads up. In-patient they will direct bill.

  22. I am so happy to see you get out of Bangkok and into the countryside. I know Prachuap Khiri Khan
very well, both the province and town. I can’t wait to see the new content you post, going to be even better than what you posted in Bangkok I am sure.

  23. Hey Joe i almost beat you to that cottage back in early december i drove around it one night looking for somewhere to stay in pkk, ended up at the seaview hotel stayed there 2 times now and its a really nice place,i was looking for somewhere new but ended up driving round in circles and decided to stick with what i know,. good luck in your new adventure ,.cheers,.

  24. Nice peaceful place. I have been going through some of your older video. I will be interested in seeing what will come of the visa issues. Both China and the US is going to be rocked by the virus costs. When the big countries catch cold, smaller countries catch pneumonia.

  25. Update Thailand bullet scam
We are so happy to share that Michael arrived h in Cleveland Ohio from Thailand this weekend (Saturday, March 28, 2020). Thank you so much for your prayers & support. We send our love and prayers to everyone in these unusual days amid recent COVID19 concerns. Thank you again truly & stay well.

    1. The financial requirement to retire in Thailand is 65,000 baht a month ($2,000 USD @ todays exchange rate) being transferred into a Thai bank account in your name. However, there is no requirement to spend 65,000 baht a month. The amount of money you would need depends on your lifestyle. I do know people that told me that they spend around $1,000 a month. Stay safe! All the best!

  26. One of these days, you guys will stay in one place for a while. When things settle down, you guys can make a road trip(not with your moped) to the Ranong border to Myanmar where there are tons of white sand islands with clear water. 57,000 for that moped is quite high unless you bought it brand new. Quite a bit of a change for comfort but you are now in paradise and saving $900US a month.

    1. Thank you ๐Ÿ™ my friend. The Honda Wave 125i is new. Price included 1 year insurance and two helmets for around $1,760 USD. Itโ€™s definitely not a Harley-Davidson but my last HD I bought in 2009 cost me $26,000 USD. We definitely have to take a trip to Myanmar ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฒ one day. Stay safe. All the best!

  27. That looks a real nice area where you are Joe. We are having it bad here in Spain, We havenโ€™t been out for a month except for my wife to go to the supermarket. Stay safe and looking forward to more videos from your little paradise. ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป

  28. Joe green great video ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป yea they dont shake hands in Thailand they do this i notist ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป i also notist gift does that often . Its a beautiful way to say thank you as well .

  29. New subscriber here from Virginia Beach, Virginia. I really like your cottage and the beach is lovely. Stay safe & well. Good luck with the lock down. We’ve been in for 10 days mandated until June 9 ๐Ÿ˜จ

    1. Thank you ๐Ÿ™ so much for the sub my friend. I lived and worked in VA from 2010 – 2014. VA beach area was part of my Territory and Fort Lee is where my office was located. Stay safe! All the best!

  30. Ok so ‘PARADISE’ a lot of people are saying…40 sq meters of living space with very little actual privacy, sort of close to the ocean and a view…but not having a view nor privacy since the neighbours all around the place can watch your every move…PARADISE…for $200. Now everything is indeed relative, and I’m by no means criticizing anybody for what they have or how they spend their money, but what if one was to spend say $300, which doesn’t seem completely crazy, might it not be possible to get say 50 sq meters and maybe even some privacy and an actual ocean view…??? Now of course if $200 is what the budget allows that’s perfectly fine, and 40 sq meters is as well, it’s just that we only live once…And also, do you really need a car living in Thailand? I know several well-to-do expats who wouldn’t dream of owning a car in SEA, and selling that would allow for a lot of living improvements in general including housing if funds are a bit short. But what the heck do I know, live and let live. :):):)

    1. I just moved here from Bangkok my friend where my rent was $1,150, so trust me, I’m retired and have a good pension. If I want, I can have a big house here with a swimming pool and much more. If you have been watching my channel, you will see that I spend most my time traveling around Thailand so that is why I decided to purchase my SUV and use Prachuap as my hub. As for the home, Gift and I love it. Stay safe! All the best!

  32. Hi Joe, nice video again. Your place looks very nice. tip of the week : in another video I watched Jim Andrews who lives in Hua Hin, crashed his chevy , but it wasn’t his fault. The truck in front of him drove backwards and not looked in the mirror. Luckily Jim had a dashcam for evidence. The locals told the police it was jims fault. So maybe it’s a good idea to install one in your car, also in the rear view. Take care and enjoy life in Thailand. This is the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZ0vlYu4NCU

    1. Thank you ๐Ÿ™ I watched Jim Andrews video, I know Jim personally, good guy. I have had a dash cam in my SUV from the very beginning. Stay safe! All the best!
