JONNYS LIVING IN THAILAND VLOGS
Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) is a condition where the cushioning discs between the vertebrae of the spinal column either bulge or burst (herniate) into the spinal cord space. These discs then press on the nerves running through the spinal cord causing pain, nerve damage, and even paralysis.

Bad news dude!!!! Hope he makes a full recovery
Good luck, hope the little guy pulls through
Pretty positive outcome for so soon post opp,
So sorry!! I hope all goes well
Yeh mate in australia it would cost 4 times that much the vets here charge more than if it was a humans operation like that plus the other hospital care to but theres all so pet insurance here in aus like a humans health care insurance that you can pay by monthly payments i hope serbastion gets better mate all the best have a good trip with your friends
I really hope Sebastian will be healthy again. 🤞
It all looks positive so far especially from such a big operation.
Such weird timing my dog in Sydney had the same issue in November with the UTI. After $12k she able to walk albeit with limited mobility so far. Hope he gets well soon
Hope all works out mate 🤞
good boy Sebastian God speed for full recovery
Sorry to hear the news, get well soon!
get a harness with a handle to support walking him…feed him raw or cooked food, NO KIBBLE, give him light massage…so sorry!
Def no kibble so much bad stuff in it, just google some of the additives which are on the side of the packs
Woof Wood get well soon Sebastian
I’m sad to hear about Sebastian. I had a Bassett Hound that the same problem. I had to get him a doggie wheelchair. He got better but eventually his back went out and he was totally paralyzed and no more could be done. I’ll be praying for Sebastian to get better.
May Sebastián get better! I had a beagle that had that problem multiple times over a 10 year period. Sometimes she couldn’t walk at all like you showed with Sebastián. The vet would usually keep her for a few days and give her prednisone shots and then send her home with prednisone pills. Then, at home I would keep her confined to her bed area by blocking it off, so she wouldn’t try to roam the house.
To transport her outside to use the bathroom, I took the bottom of a pet crate and cut an entry hole at the other end, so she wouldn’t have to struggle to turn around inside the small confines of the crate to exit the crate. I would put a small door rug in the bottom of the crate for traction and coax her into the crate or carefully place her in the crate then I would carry her outside to use the bathroom. If everything went well, she would be walking OK in a couple of weeks and back to normal and running and jumping in a couple of months. Although, I tried to keep her from jumping, because that would be usually what would cause her to rupture a disc. I eventually became a regular dog walker where I would take her on long walks a couple of times a week and that seemed to really help her in the long run.
I really hope Sebastian makes a full recovery, the signs look hopeful. It’s a really upsetting time seeing your loved animal struggling, I recently lost my dog, and it’s still so upsetting. Fingers crossed m8
Try the drug peroxicam 20mg.. 1 a day will work a charm
How is Sebastian today bud?
Poor little bugger, hope he makes a full recovery.
Get well soon Sebastian
Hope he gets well soon Jonny mate
Hope he continues to recover….👍
Gday Jonny, fukn terrible mate. Let’s hope he regains full health 🙏 look after yourself too mate ✌️
hope Sebastian makes a full recovery
Sorry to hear buddy. Hopefully he recovers ok. Our pets are our best mates and glad you are pulling all stops to get him better. Maybe he can come with me to rehab and we both can learn to walk again…🤣🤣
I wish ur best friend well. People need to realize that pet insurance is the best thing, especially in England as costs would be so high, and you probably need the money to pay the vets before the pet insurance pays out, best wishes from 🇬🇧 he’s doing well bless him🙏 🤞
When my Jack Russell had a serious spinal issue (years ago) I locked him in a baby pen when I wasn’t home. It kept him from even attempting to move. It took about 2 months of me physically holding him up to piss and shit until he was finally able to walk again. I hope Sebastian makes a complete recovery. So encouraging to see him able to do his duty outside and standing. All the best. Mitch
Noel Fitzpatrick in the UK, seen many of hes tv series, he saves and changes many dogs lifes, he is the best in the world, designs parts and does surgery on injuries like your pets and is amazing to see, things which were deemed impossible he changes Science……………… hope the Vet over there can save Sebastians life and make him well again.
Hope Sebastian gets well soon Johnny
Hi Jonny, Sebastian is in my thoughts and prayers. Wishing him a full recovery. All the best!
So sad, I really hope he makes a full recovery
exactly jonny what do you do? you just do it. I had to catheterize my dog for nearly 3 years twice a day, oh the joy, but ya just do it. good luck with it all
Good on you champion looking after it your best buddy like that.
Really can hurt you hey mate
@Jonny There Is Something Happening Thanks Pal.
Your looking good mate.
Il get over soon ey..
5 months sober tmoro 🙏
Thanks mate you are like family, make sure you got your little baby pet insurance. I would honestly hate to imagine what it cost in Australia 7000-10000k easy. Get pet insurance mate before they can call the premedical card
All the Best for Sebastien…
So sorry mate. Poor little bugger.
Tons of hugs and well wishes for your best mate Sebastian. You are giving him the best care possible Jonny. I look forward to seeing him get better and better health-wise in the days to come. 🐾
Unless you have a dog, you will never know how much they mean to you.
I’m an internist. The signs look positive. I think he should have a full recovery. Glad you had the money to give him first rate care!
Mate that sucks poor little fella !!!
Sorry to hear mate. They really are family and best mates. All the best👍
Very positive progress for Sebastian indeed, wish him all the best and a speedy recovery, will follow your trip with the guys (I sub to them for sometime and met Joe and gift when they came to my part of the woods) again Sebastian will rock it and when you get back he will be running around ! have a safe trip
Poor Sebastian, I hope he gets better. It can amaze you how resilient animals can be.
Such devastating news Jonny,
hard when your best mate gets sick like this, hope all goes well for Sebastian. 👍🙏
mate don’t big him out to early,it will make it take it longer to heal.it will take awhile to repair,be patient Jonny
Omg thats terrible, I hope Sebastian gets well soon. Good to see you on YouTube again mate. I gave you a huge plug in one of my recent videos. Best of luck take care now.
I have two French Bulldogs myself, I treat them like my kids. I would be a mess if they were going thru the same thing. I am sure you’re doing it tough, take it easy and get some rest.
Pray for Sebastian 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Enjoy Chaing Mai, don’t have too many eggs at the hot springs.
Great to see you back, thoughts are with your little mate.
hope he makes a full recovery poor matey.
not just dog it family i hope that he doing better and get well soon
Mate all me thoughts are with Sebastian and hoping he pulls through a okay nothing worse than seeing your best friend that is so active and seeing him like that over night
That is sad Johnny praying your best mate gets better 🙏
Man, sorry about Sebastian, huge part of your channel and your family, hope all is well soon! On another note, you’re getting a bit of a barge arse there mate, maybe you should change your camera angles, haha!
What a bummer. My Pug had similar issues with his front legs. It was manageable with epidurals till the end of his days. Hope Sebastian recovers fully.
Sorry to hear about Your dog,saw you on Foreigner Joe’s video, hope you will get back to making videos again ,Good luck with your Dog.
Hey Jonny, stay strong buddy, this is heartbreaking to hear. If I may tell you something of little comfort perhaps! but I will share it, we had a dog “Shandy” who was paralysed in her back legs in a similar way. Even though she never did recover, we had her for many a happy year, even with her paralysed back legs and she had still a remarkable and happy life. I am so pleased to see Sebastian doing so well after such major surgery.
Bless you buddy and we wish you and Sebastian the best outcome..
I have friends whose Tibetan spaniel had the same problem. He had to live a crate for a while, but after a short while they started swimming him in a pool. It’s now 18 months and he is a lot better.
Wishing Sebastian a speedy recovery mate .
Really sorry to hear this Johnny, the exact same thing happened to my English Mastif puppy. She started falling over when running at 6 months old and within a week was dragging her back legs around and had no bowel control. The breeders in the uk are supposed to screen the parents before breeding to avoid these problems but some breeders dont and only care about money. I really hope Sebastian gets better mate.
https://youtu.be/ayM2eQ4Jm7A. Hoping on a good recovery.
Poor Sebastian
Hope Sebastian makes a full recovery. Lovely little lad!
At a very upsetting and worrying time like this, I hope it helps you to know that everyone here is 110% behind you and Sebastian.
You’re not alone , Jonny……We’re all thinking of you both.
My2 told us all last week.. Best wishes for Sebastian.
Sad news😥
quite upsetting watching that but listening to you explaining how you are taking care made it better.
Thank you for sharing this video, and hope Sebastian makes a full recovery. My seven year old French Bulldog has kidney failure, and last week he got an abscess on his eye, sadly because of his kidney condition, he did not respond to the medication and has lost the sight in his right eye.
Goodluck with him mate all the best
Sure hope everything works out in the future for your pet,
Poor old Sebastian! As an animal lover I will be rooting for him. The early signs look very positive Jonny so lets hope it continues.
I hope Sebastian is back to normal after. I had a little dog and we spent 7K for his care. Even for working on teeth they charged about 1K. You got a good deal in Thailand. Our little guys are like members of the family. We do everything possible to help them out. I had to take mine to the vet every morning before I went to work.
Poor doggy
Hope the op goes well
Unfortunately this is a result of breeding dogs for there looks .It can end up being very expensive he seems to have recovered very quickly though so that is a positive sign.
Poor baby Sebastian. You should get him some anti slip socks from Lazada to help him get around better on those slippery tiles in your house.
Hope he gets better soon x
My Staffy Tyson suffered something very similar. They called it an enfarked spine. He was also paralyzed waist down. Loads of physio and after 3 months he was able to walk again
😔🙏
He’s getting hugs and positive attention from his “pack.” His spirit will help him heal.
He looks good, be jumping thru hoops in no time.
Hes getting there:-)
I’m so sorry this scared you and cost you so much money. This happened to my dog and she actually couldn’t walk fully for a year and half and started using her back legs after 1 year 2 months. I don’t claim to no anything but I didn’t get surgery done they even said maybe put her to sleep but instead for a year straight we massages and stretched her out constantly and carried her off and on steps beds couches all that and like I said slowly but surely she started walking again and now she’s 7 years old with no issues at all. Hope this is what happens for you guys we opted against surgery and all medical advice from the vet clinic and just went old school and kept her happy. It worked the way it was suppose to. She didn’t have bathroom problems tho so maybe my dog just had a back injury and not a disease
I love dogs but kissing one on the mouth is yuk yuk yuk.
Hey Jonny…. https://youtu.be/ayM2eQ4Jm7A
