  1. Hello Dan , have you try to be in touch with other bloggers in Dumaguete trying to share ideas and experience ?? If yes , you should do a video about it , its always interesting . Have a good day .

  2. Okay, let me get this straight..
First month is tourist visa ( free ). You can not extend for six months, unless you purchase the next month for 3K php.
After that, you can purchase the six month vise for 6K php. What about the ticket you arrived with? Do you make your return
flight date for eight months out?? I heard you can not leave an open ticket. What if you decide to extend your stay for another six to twelve months??
Do you have to exit the Philippines first?
    Please reply

  3. Good video , but if you are from the US , and you arrive for example in Bangkok , you need to have a return ticket to your country otherwise immigration will not let you enter the country afraid that you may not go back to the US. You mention to go Vietnam then go to Cambodia , but then what happen to your return ticket ?? if you know what I mean .On paper it looks easy but the reality is not that simple. Also moving to place to place might be very tiring for some people . I love table tennis ( Ping Pong), so everywhere I travel I bring my paddle with me and always search for a place to play . ( Its my hobby) . But if you don’t have any hobby , life might be boring for some travelers abroad .

  4. ACR card is good for one year. You can stay in the Philippines for 3 years on a tourist visa then you must leave and come back. If you stay in the Philippines for 6 months or more then you must get the exit clearance (which is done in Cebu if you arein Dumaguete). They have been pushing people towards the retirement visa if you spend a lot of time on a tourist visa but haven’t made it mandatory. Im stuck in USA trying to get back to Dumaguete so i dont think i will be there while you guys are there.

  5. As you guys are constant roadies, what do you Dan, as an American, do about your American mail , health insurance on the road, cash transfers.

  6. Thanks so much. Great info. I’ve begun my exit from rat race of USA. Step One; let go of all material baggage and be a nomad until the international travel restrictions are released, First 30 day stop will be in Thailand, then bop around SEA every 30 or 60 days to a new country, including the Philippines. YOLO

  7. Have you looked into the APEC business travel card? If you have that, it would increase the initial visa-free stay for some of the countries from 30 days to 59-90 days, depending on the APEC country you visit. It’s $70 for 5 years (but you also need global entry, which is another $100).
