Raisisng the standard of living a few notches

I was just sitting here thinking about all the girls here age 19 to 25. In the USA girls of this age are just beginning to live, they are partying, making friends, graduating from High School and going on to College. These are some of the most memorable times in their lives. For the most part they are not interested in getting married and being tied down especially to an older man. Now consider the situation here in the Philippines. For the most part other than the super rich here the average girl from age 19 to 25 has nothing, lives in a one room bamboo hut out in the provinces, they usually have no where to go and have few friends. They spend their days helping their parents take care of younger siblings in this one room hut. These are definitely not memorable times for them.  They only begin to really live once they meet someone and that someone takes them out of that situation, then life for them begins and they begin to develop some of their best memories. So consider this if you have met someone and that someone is in this age bracket. You can only raise their standard of living and give them a future they would otherwise not have. My wife is a good example she came from the island of Negros Occidental lived in a one room hut in a province near the city of San Carlos. The family could not afford to send her to college and she was doomed to spend the rest of her life right there in that bamboo hut or another one like it. Even if she had met someone, most Filipino men can barely afford to take care of a wife much less kids. Then I came along and married her, now she has a nice home her own new car plenty of nice dresses and a happy memorable life. She is even attending medical school something she could only dream of if she had not taken the step that ultimately raised here standard of living several notches.

This article only applies to the average poor all across the Philippines, I know there are adults with good jobs that can provide a much better life for their children.

Marianne said she only dreamed of a simple life and if she had not married me would have eventually married a Filipino and the cycle goes on…

I also wrote this article because the Philippines has plenty of older men, most of them above the age of 60. And a good number of them have wives much younger than they are including myself. Also the reason most men here are older is because the younger guys would not survive here. Jobs are far and few between, those that did come have found a way to earn money with a successful business either brick and mortar or Virtual as my friend Chris Ducker has with his virtual Business Lifewtyle.

Photo of Marianne’s one room hut actually her dad had a fairly good job and was able to provide for them so their one room hut was actually a two room hut and it was even painted. In 2005 we sent money to upgrade this one and now it is a two story little house, with concrete walls and floor. None of this would have been possible had she not met me and married me. I was 59 at the time and she was only 19. Marianne is 27 now and has loved every minute of our time together.
