  1. keep on posting Hendry, i watched all your videos(i think) and enjoyed it so much. I’m filipino living in italy since 1983 and going back to PI this year for good, and your videos helps me a lot, for i need also to adjust my way of living there. thanks again Hendry.

  2. thanks Hendry for another good video. I enjoyed watching all your vids. your tips are also applicable to us fil who are away for long period ( i’m away since 1983) and will go back to PI for good this year. I need to adjust also my way of living out there because i will work and live in PI not as balikbayan anymore.

  3. this is one of the things I love about Philippines–the rain. Thanks for sharing this. Do you get a lot of frogs croaking after a heavy rain at night? Very nice sound.

  4. Thanks for the share πŸ˜€ Moringa is the name of the tree, and for a healthy life you should make it a part of your everyday regime, you can cook it in a soup, dry it out and make tea leaves and much more! The leaves have all of the vitamins and calcium your body needs, your one a day for all. Again thanks for the share I enjoy watching your videos πŸ™‚

  5. After the rain, in certain areas where the water collects.. wow!, the ROAR of hundreds of frogs is so loud it drowns out my conversation when I’m on the phone near it. ha! Super loud but I love it. Only thing I’m not crazy about is once the rains stop for a day or so.. the mosquitoes come out in huge numbers. During the rain, not so much.

  6. Ha! Eventually I’ll put in Bermuda grass. I’m not the food garden guy. Just some grass beneath the hammock and maybe some colorful plants along the fence and I’m good. πŸ™‚

  7. πŸ™‚ Yah, I’m a big Batman fan since about 1985 or so. Even the Adam West show was fun to watch. Coolest car on tv next to the Munster-Mobile back then. I’m not so crazy about Ben Affleck being the new Batman though. I might just cover my eyes and wait for it to go away. Michael Keaton and Christian Bale, those I enjoyed. The others actors.. “meh”.

  8. Still more adventures to come.. now that I have a scooter I’m just waiting on the license plate to start roaming the island. (in case of check-points) I’ll be sure to take some video along the way. πŸ™‚

  9. Yes, it’s amazing.. especially late at night in the province. Much better than those CD-recordings of natural sounds to sleep by. πŸ™‚

  10. Just been watching some of your videos. I was wondering after reading some of the travel warnings on the Australia’s travel adviser they mentioned not to travel or visit certain parts of the Philippines especially the south and south west Mindanao and Davao regions. So just wondering how safe is the Philippines overall for Westerners, Australians, Americans, etc. cheers. πŸ™‚

  11. The areas of Southern Mindanao are of greatest concern to me and I, personally, have no intention of visiting there. Plenty of other islands that don’t have the political problems going on over there. Expats living there will in one breath say they’ve had no problems, and in the next caution you, “be careful what you say and who might be listening”. No thanks, Visaya and Northern regions don’t have those kind of concerns to that degree so that’s where I’ll spend my time.

  12. Aside from raising my 3 sons.. living here has been hands-down the most AWESOME experience in my life. I’d put it right up there with “first sex ever”. ha! As for ever returning t the US, I’ll visit my folks and kids every so often.. but the PH is my new home from here on out.

  13. I think you should still learn Tagalog, we have some comedy shows and movies that are awesome! It is about the face! My fave overall , is Rowan Atkinsons, for foreign, but in the Philippines, I like Tito, Vic and Joey, Dolphy, Aiai de las Alas, and I forgot one skinny guy, oh yes , his name is Palito.I also like Anjo Yllana.Russell Peters, Jon Lovitz, Adam Sandler, I forgot the old guy with big eyes, Ryan Reynolds and Rob Schneider.Yes, I remember, Rodney Dangerfield! They’re all awesome!
