  1. All that for only $2.25? Man…We’re getting ripped off over here…They offer the same skewers a block from my apartment here at $2.50 for only 1…Kind of hard not wanting to go back and Slap that guy…lol…Joking only…So they say in the Philippines…

  2. samples of funny names pinoys have given to some barbecued streed food: IUD for chicken intestines, HELMET for chicken heads, ADIDAS for chicken feet, BETAMAX for cubed blood, etc.

  3. I have not seen a video of you trying a “balut or baluts”. If ever, don’t eat it, as it is. Dip it in our local chili vinegar. If not get some Tapatio sauce or Tabasco sauce. And a nice cold “Corona with lemon”. By the way don’t eat the whites. There hard whites.

  4.  Do you ever try the Suman for dessert Henry ? If not give it a try, sweet rice boiled in coconut milk with coconut flakes and brown sugar added to the middle wrapped in a banana leaf.

    1.  I totally agree Henry, I always warn it up in the nuke machine. I sent you two messages one to your you tube mail and one to your website mail to see if you can give me a little advice. Thank you for your response and I will talk to you soon, hopefully.

  5. I might be more adventurous the next time I go back. I’m a little concerned with street food. I haven’t had my hepatitis A,B, C shots.  I know the price is right on!! Have you gotten ill from anything you? May I ask Henry did you get all your shots ?  I don’t think I will adidas or ballut either.  I have had the others. Oh, by the way have you seen Mikey Bustos Street Food Song. I think its awesome and funny! Thanks for sharing and Good Eating!

    1. That’s good to hear that you haven’t really gotten ill and recovered fast.   I’m glad you are enjoying my wife’s country. There are some really beautiful places and some pretty rough places there. I hope that I’m able to return to visit next summer.

    2. I’ve had whatever shots I got as a kid.  Only got sick on street food once in PH so far.. last week when I had some lumpia that I think had been re-fried.  But was over that in a day.

  6. Yep nothing nicer than walking down the street with my wife and or kids trying out all the different foods on offer. We need diatabs sometimes for upset stomach but not as offten as you would think. I am quite suprised how few times this has happened or maybe I have an iron gut 🙂

  7. I tip my hat to you, because I am not brave enough to eat anything that’s exposed on an open road like that in the Philippines based on my experience. I always carry some Imodium with me and other medicine just in case. You don’t want to end up with some kind of intestinal/bacterial infection there.
