  1. Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, But rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming:
    WOW—-WHAT—-A RIDE!!!

  2. Yep.. as Clint Eastwood said, “A man’s gotta know his limitations.” haha! Those blood-blocks and grilled chicken-feet are on my no-go list as well. Eventually I’ll try the Squid Balls. Soon.

  3. ha!.. I’d have to down at least 2 tequila shots first, and another one after. No telling what I’d be up to after that. hehehe

  4. Hey, Love your videos . Take life for a ride, thats why I am here in Cebu now. Been here since late May. Maybe we will see you in Cebu City. My wife and I have a home in Argao. We go to the city often and would like to meet you sometime. Take Care and Enjoy.

  5. Sounds like a plan! The link to my site is in the ‘About’ link up above. Once at the site use the ‘ASK HENRY’ link to shoot me an email and we can meet up my next trip to Cebu in a few weeks. I should be there soon for some new adventures. 🙂

  6. I would suggest contacting a realtor online who is living on Bohol ahead of time. Let them know your budget and areas you’re interested in. Usually they try to push the high-end subdivisions so ask them if they have other options or only specialize in that. When you get here to Bohol, feel free to drop me a line through the ASK HENRY portion of my main site; LifeBeyondTheSea(dot)com .

  7. Hey Reekay! maybe you should try to become a professor in one of the Universities and schools there..teaching about motivation and positive attitude..and knowledge about the Philippines or work with the Dept. of Tourism.. A lot can be learn from your insights and experiences. You explain it very well, very informative and inspirational outlook you have there.. Or, maybe a book about your travels and adventures someday..yeah? Goodluck on your adventures! Be safe man!

  8. I enjoyed listening to some of your older rants, part 2 about the lady-boys I found very funny as it sounded like me describing the situation to people back home. I figure on any given day in Cebu City, or likely any other city in The Phils, I’ll see more cross-dressers than I’d seen collectively in the rest of my life, and many are so obvious, even school kids out with their class-mates in the Mall or Cinema, some will be cross-dressed. I asked a clerk on the desk of my hotel why were there so many boys dressed like girls,as there was one in the lobby, she just matter of factly looked at me and answered “oh they are the gays”as if it just doesn’t matter and you know, it doesn’t. A few westerners have approached me and asked me where I come from. I just smile and tell them it doesn’t matter and it doesn’t. I go to the Phils because of The Filipinos, the nicest people I’ve ever met, but becareful, if you allow yourself to be taken advantage of, then it becomes their duty to do so. As far as Trust goes, I’m not sure I know many people at home I can trust. I’ve never known a white girl over 14 who never lied to me, including my mother, though I think my daughter might not have yet.

    1. @David Hooper I don’t see that many in Davao or Digos . Of course I see some. Just not every other person like he says. Maybe there are certain cities like San Francisco ?

    2. @LifeBeyondTheSea – Philippines I went to Ozamis City to meet a girlfriend of mine back in 2009 at the same time those 53 reporters were killed. her name is JieJie and her best friend is gay. Every time she speaks of him its my gay friend ____ I forgot his name, and when her Ate or cousins speak about him its JieJie’s gay friend_______.Just something I found amusing. You seem to be very critical about all their behaviours, why would you want to leave Southern Cal? Have you found any affordable car rentals yet? I posted an ad on Dumaguete Pages years back but never heard of any.The airport rentals are just way too expensive. The Cab drivers in Cebu are crazy, lol  Hopefully I’ll be tthere in november

    3. @David Hooper after 2+ years here, even i really don’t care.  okay, so they’re a ladyboy.  i’ve seen hundreds of them, no kidding, every day everywhere.  in general they are fun, nice people.  only ran into one who was a scammer.  the rest, not out to hurt anyone so.. no big deal.

  9. Reekay, I spent a total of 33 months of my life in the Philippines
which is my second country, I’m planning to return back to the
Philippines within the next 3 to 4 years for good & live out my
life in the Philippines. The Philippines was the very first country
outside the United State & Canada that I got to see. I met my
late wife of 31 years on 1/16/1975 when I was in the Navy and
on my very first Westpac cruise. I married my late wife on 4/5/1979
and we stayed married up to the day of her death on 3/6/2010.
I’m of Irish-Norwegion ancestery, and during my years of
marriage critics said bad remarks about my marriage, those
critics were nowhere to be found on 3/6/2010. Your videos, tips
& pointers are great. They are very helpful.

  10. This video taught me how not to resist bad or good experience in life , just go with the flow.
It’s like water water can flow water can fit into a cup or it can crash be water my friend

  11. Love the wave talk,it seems there are more lady boys,I got coned into being a judge at one of the ladyboy pageants, had to take a picture of each contestant siting on me
,i had lived on Cebu for about 6 or 7 months then.
But the ladyboys where nice people,I think you said there a hoot.
It seemed Mactan was full of the people you talked about that complained or even made a scene, but the foreigner’s i met in the country and smaller towns where happier people.
I viewed me asking just one for a item and getting many other people too be useful, but was not buying a chicken,as for the chicks they are cheap. you have too buy a big box of them i think, but there cheap.
You have a chicken so i guess you found a better price.
All most of them see of the western world or America is our TV and Hollywood,so it give off us as being exactly the way we are.not as liberal as these portray us to be.
Yeah i hated the brownouts so bad when i went looking a place to live i looked for a place with a generator, but i did had to deal with them for about 4 months.
    Great vids all 3
    Thanks for shaing
