My 3 weeks there and i almost forgot i was leaving until the day before……lol
Great way to go about things . I pretty much try to do the same thing .
I am not sure its cheaper in my view. The reason being we are not living the same life style. You give up alot living in Philippines. I think what it really shows us is that we dont need alot of the things we have and do in our homeland. If you lived at the same standard I think you would find that its not much different in cost. The real cheap things there are labor, booze and tobacco. They also have cheap rides on Tricycles and Jitneys that we don’t have because of regulations. JMHO
Your living the dream. Congrats man.. Nice work on catching your dreams.
Getting here was an adventure in itself. Living here, every day is something new. I love it.
I’ve noticed my food budget is a fraction of what it was in the US, and healthier. Yah, someone could come here and eat pork lechon every day and get fat. ha! But I eat lots of lean bbq, vegetables and soups. A little bit of fast-food and some pancit or lumpia.. it’s all about balance. But I don’t need a lot of the stuff I had back home.. like a $100/month cell phone bill. ha! Here I spend maybe $14/month at most.
Isn’t it a trip?, how the days just kinda flow here? ha! I have a calendar on the wall and sometimes it’s still showing the last month. ha!
You mentioned you don’t have a hot water tank. How do you do dishes and take hot showers? Thanks…
Mike…
The water comes to the house via black, plastic pipes. During the day the water is naturally warm, even hot sometimes on a hot day. If I need hot water for dishes I just boil some and drop the silverware in that. But it’s so warm here all year, hot water is not a necessity.
YES LIFE IS A DREAMS IN THE PHILIPPINES.I MISS IT VERY MUCH.TIME JUST GO BY SO FAST THERE.I WILL BE BACK SOON IT LOOKS LIKE DEC 1.LOOKING FOR A HOME FOR MY DOG WE CAN NOT LEAVE UNTILL WE FINE A GOOD HOME FOR HIM.
Henry, you REALLY seem to be obsessed with corn on the cob as it is a recurring theme throughout your videos! lol
I LOVE corn on the cob! And in most streets you can find it even as late as midnight. I like it dipped in butter with a bit of salt. No cheese or chili pepper.. just butter. Good stuff!
You’re a very smart and very practical man Henry. You definitely got some really good advice in all your videos. JMPO
Thanks, I do what I can. 🙂
