Bogo is one of the better places to live and is located on the island of Cebu in central Philippines. I think it is a better place to live than Cebu City or Danao City as Bogo has very little crime and has just about everything you will ever need.  There are rarely if ever earthquakes here and when they come they are under a 5 on the reciter scale. I built my home here in 2004 and fully enjoyed living here. Even the internet here is of sufficient speed for working.  Power for Cebu is produced by injecting water into the ground (thermal) which produces steam that turns the generators, and since power requires water this year they have plenty and the lakes are full which means no brownouts this year.  Beach resort here are a lot cheaper than in the Cebu City area. See my Photo page called “Beach Resorts” .  Bogo has everything you need for day to day life right here. In the city you will find a Gaisano department store with a movie hours, located on the main street in Bogo, internet cafes everywhere, Grocery and department shopping and more. Bogo City is close to some great Beach resorts like the Hide Away, San Remigio, and Warren’s Beach Resort. At the Hide away you can rent the largest area out in the ocean accessible only by a bamboo bridge for only P750 for all day. At San Remigio they will open it up at midnight just so you can do some night swimming and it’s only around P1200 for all day entrance. All the resorts in this area are pretty cheap and affordable for most. There is little crime here other than a drunk or someone who can’t drive. I say that because a motorcycle ran into the back of Marianne’s car as she stopped for a tricycle pulling into her lane. He hit pretty hard but sped off leaving the scene. I know his motorcycle sustained major damage as it was a small Honda and the front forks are not very strong I suspect he bent them and broke the nice white fender that was speared all over the bumper. Parts are hard to get here so he will likely be stuck with it for some time. Here are a few photos and maps of Bogo.

Alpine Subdivision Dakit, Bogo, Cebu, Philippines yo can see all the way down to the main road. Make a right to go to Bogo, make a left to go to Cebu CIty 98 kilometers south. We are driving there tomorrow morning. If you look all the way down this road you can see a white building across the main road from us, this is the home of the Spiderman Busses you see all over the area. They have spiderman eyes on the front windows and are spiderman colors and images on them.

This video begins just past the road to my house goes to the edge of Bogo where it makes a left turn.  He makes a left turn heading up past Medellin Philippines then a right past Medellin and on to Virgin Beach Resort. This is my neck of the woods my happy hunting grounds. Check out the suger cane trucks some of these take up the whole road. It’s nice and peaceful here low crime rate great place to settle, good roads. Virgin Beach Resort owned by Ron Perry an American. This video is what I see every time I take my car out for a spin.

I can see this shrine from my front porch of our houes, it is our landmaork that we are almost home.

If you are visiting us by bus, you can get off here and we will come pick you up as this is less than a kilometer from our house. As soon as you see the shrine, wait about 20 seconds and ask the conductor to let you off there. Then get on you cell phone and give us a call. If you go a tad further you will see a large billboard and directly behind it is a small sign on the left that says Alpine Subdivision, this is our subdivision and we are just down the road where it starts to go up a hill. Our house is on the left of that road, large gold gate.
