Growing up my mother and grandmother worked at a turkey processing plant, and most of my relatives worked in factories that gave out turkeys 2 times a year. We would have up to 10 turkeys in our freezer. I remember trying to get to the ones on the bottom that were frozen to the bottom. Dad always knew if I tried to take one off the top.

That’s one of the things I don’t like about chest freezers .. I’ve had them for many many years but finally switched to an upright and find it so much better.
