Mango (and ant) Harvest

I try my hand at harvesting our mangoes…TOO MANY ANTS! Can someone explain the best way to pick mangoes from a tree? I’m sure it isn’t the way I did it. Thanks.

  1. Be careful Mr. Brown, the liquid from the stems of the tree are in the same family as poison oak. Two years ago after visiting the Philippines, I broke out on the airplane going back to the US. I love eating mangoes, but no more picking them for me. 😄

  2. Nice ones Bud, tis the season, Maribel bought a bunch this morning P40/kg…The first time I saw Mangos being harvested was by Ivy at Andy’s Private Garden, remember Ivy? She was throwing her flip flops up in the tree and she actually bagged some Mangos 😂 Be careful and enjoy.

  3. Hello Sir Bud, I miss that fruit so much. Your lucky to have plenty of them in your backyard and they are kinda sweet when the inside turn a bit yellowish already.Yummy Indian mangoes.
