  2. Hi Gio I’m not lucky like you and Reekay with a good and sweet filipina but when I move to the Philippines and find a filipina I would like to live in Cebu but I would like to travel by myself to Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia for 6 months out of the year so yes this is a good topic

  3. Good topic Gio, I guess for many guys, their work will be a big factor. Obviously if they can work online, taking their girl to another country, other than their own would be a great choice. I love the Philippines for vacation, but I’ve never felt that I could live there for many reasons ( healthcare, trash, internet issues ,and other problems ). To bring a girl to the Uk is a long stressful and drawn out process that can cost upwards of £10,000 plus another £7000 for a child. Then you risk the changes in the girl also which can happen, and of course the distance for home visits to their family. Sounds like a good option to me, what you are planning to be honest, and I wish you both good luck with it. Filipinas are usually quite adaptable to live in other countries.

  4. Malaysia certainly could be a good option for some. For me, I brought my wife to Australia 7 years with no problems at all.

  5. Good subject Gio! I’m honestly done with the USA, it’s just way to expensive to live here anymore. I’m unfortunately stuck here to ride out this crappy/terrible 2020 year, then it’s a full pension retirement and I’m gone for good, no more part timing it. I’ve already told my gf we will be calling Cebu our home full-time while of course traveling to other parts of the PI. I’m also interested in living in Vietnam, I hear great things there (thanks Henry). Another choice for me would be Thailand, those 3 I’ve mentioned are the only places I would even care about trying out!

  6. For me, the reason I brought my wife to the USA is so she could have my social security when she gets older. In 4 years she was a citizen. Now after I die she can get my social security anywhere she chooses to live in the world. As a widow she can start collecting at 60 years old. Not to mention if I don’t die when she turns 62 she also can start collecting on my benefits which will boost our income. So for 4 to 5 years to become a citizen for me as well for my wife’s future was a no brainer. Then after 4 or 5 years We can go live anywhere in the world we want.

If you have a young wife with children (You step children even). You will get extra money from social security for you wife and children till children are 18 years old. You can get 1.5 times your social security. If you get $1000 a month you would get an additional $1500 a month for you wife and children for a total of $2500 a month. Again if she becomes citizen you can get this money almost anywhere in the world.
There is countries that USA has treaties with that if you live there she can get your social security without ever coming to the USA. But not many Asian countries.

For me it was all about protecting my wife’s future well after I’m gone.

  7. If you do bring your Filipina to USA, go rural! Living in a USA rural community is most wonderful for a Filipina. Most Filipina’s I have talked to dream about a simple stress free life with a garden!! In my opinion, a garden is the key to a Filipina’s happiness anywhere in the world! Growing food you can eat keeps a Filipina very happy and busy!! Filipinas will be much happier and much less westernized in a rural community!!!

  8. I lived in Chiang mai for a year and the only thing that could have made it better was to have my pinay GF there.. It was great… its something we are thinking about in the future, but first she is heading to the states but after a year or two, we plan to travel all over SE asia.

  9. Great Video as always. I am really thinking of taking Ne (GF} and moving to another SE Asian country. I am of course waiting until travel resumes. I also want to see how moving to Mylasia works out for Ging and you, Keep the information like this coming,

  10. Gio,
Good video! I missed the final day of lock down live stream. I was going to ask what the visa situation in Malaysia, but you cut that off promptly!
    Daniel

  11. For me, the language Barrier In other countries is s deal breaker. So the PI is the best option at this point. I don’t believe a Pinay can be happy to live so far away from family. So, I will live with my GF there. If things don’t work out.. plan B is to move to Arizona. Expats should also be concerned what type of administration will be in place next year.
