Life in the Philippines has changed a bit over the last 3 months. Resorts, condos, hotels, malls, travel, and options have all changed with the present health care issue. Malls are open in much of the Philippines. Cebu City, Cebu Malls are the exception. Resorts like Boracay are open to local tourism.
If a USA citizen living in the Philippines wants to fly back home, can they do that and return to Philippines again?
Will the USA citizen be subject to restrictions in USA upon their return to USA?
The world will change. A lot more people working from home. No need for a lot of offices.
Rod did you film this or did your girlfriend? What camera was used?
Rod,
I’ve heard a lot of complaints about the Philippine government’s handling of pandemic. I personally think that they have done a good job within the constraints of the resources that are available to them. A very contagious opportunistic viral outbreak in a third world/developing country where the majority of its citizens live in close quarters could easily result in a staggering death toll. On the other hand, people need to be able to work in order to feed themselves and their family. – How do you manage this quagmire? Public health/safety vs Citizens being allowed to obtain the basic necessities to sustain life. The person that presents a realistic / feasible solution to this should be elected president.

SMACK!
Great info π
Notice Mandaue doesn’t ask for my quarantine pass anymore, give 100php tips to taxi drivers and grab/panda drivers.
Rod, how I wish it was the end of June 2016. Better times for sure! π€£
Well done again Rod.
Thanks for the update. Stay safe out there!
I hate to see CEBU Taking steps backwards. I hope it gets better soon π·π
My god it looks so spooky to see those empty places.
THANKS ROD…WE ARE GOING OUT FOR ESSENTIAL ITEMS HERE IN SANTANDER,CEBU AND WASHING OUR HANDS AND WEARING OUR MASKS…HOPING FOR SOME FERRY TRAVEL VIA MAYO SHIPPING FROM LILOAN TO SIBULAN SO WE CAN SHOP IN DUMAGUETE…VERY INFORMATIVE…THUMBS UP…
I don’t know what to think anymore Rody but I can say that I don’t miss being in Cebu City at the moment. On Panay we have Household Quarantine Pass for ECQ & now Special Quarantine Pass for GCQ. Smart to hang on these as you never know if you may need one or another again but it would seem more efficient if the whole country had a universal system. Yea people wear masks here too but just because stores/malls require it. When I look around my street most people don’t wear them or observe social distancing much either & the jeepneys look pretty stuffed to me too at times ……
Hey Rod, what’s the best way to message you?
My wife is already in the Philippines. I put up a video talking about it.
I’m completely worn out from all this virus talk for months now. I believe herd immunity is the only thing that will work, not vaccines. I think I’ll go fly a kite now.
Hi Rod, are the hospital s full?
Hi Rod, sorry to hear itβs gone backwards there. Pubs and restaurants here in UK are opening up again this weekend, death rate down to around 100 a day now. Travel to Europe is going to open soon, Spain, France, Greece etc, with no quarantine there, but need to quarantine at home for 14 days on return. I hope it gets better there soon, people must be suffering badly. Take care and best wishes.
I think at some point the perceived benefits of shutting down the economy are going to be outweighed by the social costs. If most people live in communal environments, ongoing economic stagnation becomes pointless, and even counter-productive.
It should be possible to provide a measure of protection to vulnerable groups while allowing economic activity.
I hope we’re going back to normal
Covid is a scam which Government is using to control and enslave the people. Stop bowing down to these scum
What camera were you using for the Zoom shots ? You mentioned it before but Iβve forgotten,
Aloha π΄
ECQ isn’t working, GCQ isn’t working.
