About me : Retired American Expat Brian & Filipina wife Luisa, living in the Angeles City / Clark Pampanga Philippines.

  1. I totally get your frustration around waiting for food and others coming in well after you getting theirs first. Nice walk around Brian. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

  2. Great video. I just put slow service / no service to just the Philippines. Other places there such as the large supermarkets are great with people. Or could it just be the white skin tax?

  3. Did they order the same thing as you ordered?? Also did you ask them why you had to wait longer, I would have, as soon as the other people got served if they order the same as me.

  4. Hey Brian if you need to vent for twenty bucks a session I’ll let you call me and go off and agree with everything you say, LOL just kidding brother your a good man just keep smiling and roll with the times that’s all you can do and maintain your sanity.

  5. Have had some serious “customer service” issues also. Simple menu choices and my food doesn’t come out until my family’s food is almost all eaten. Not just once… A few times at different places. Not sure why it happens, but it’s too often.

  6. well not much going on i guess at least u can get fish balls lol,and possibly a tooth pulled ,maybe the wait was for the crispie bacon ,the cook was after tremendoes perfection-those 2 gals looked open for business but looked kind of scared, nice exercise for u walking around ,hope things get going soon ,that dollar to php rate is getting stuck on 49 plus ,not so good

  7. This might be the right time to scoop up a condo apartment.
    Hay Nako I just remembered….. I’m broke like a joke. ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿคช๐Ÿ‘†

  8. Hey Philly, I think you’re VERY SMART.. to keep walking n’ talking in these videos. It’s much more interesting to SEE things slowly as you walk. AND you’re getting yourself in shape walking!

  9. I can’t imagine the lockdown going on much longer, but it probably will. This guy writes an opinion in the Manila Times about enough is enough and the economy and starvation will kill more people than the virus. He is adamant about it and looks and references what was done in Sweden, they had a temporary spike but in line with all other Countries on death rates and fall out. So, If I was in charge, I would have all travelers to MNL or CRK have a RT-PCR test done within 7 days of departure to the PH, then when landing in PH, have people get a temperature check, repeat a RT-PCR test, overnight at a local hotel and released in the a.m. if test is negative. This would catch most of the issues. Get a pass and away you go. Charge the passengers or foreigners $50 USD for the test and get it done in 8 hours. It would provide jobs, safety and stimulate the economy. The IATF even admits the virus is mild or without symptoms in most people. Those in higher risk categories can decide if travel is worth it. Six more months or 2021 and their will be so few businesses viable. Its time to make a decision and live with the consequences, but if you wait till 2021 to issue visas you will an economic downfall that may be irrecoverable.

  10. Narcisso St, wow there is a fair bit of construction going on, considering where you see a lot of people coming and going down at bottom of it, that was a no go area once upon a time. There is a beautiful newish hotel there half way down the St called winter hotel owned by a local family, they knocked what was known as the pink building to build that house and hotel. Fair play to them, hard work paid off.

  11. Thanks for the vids and your updates on Angeles. Iโ€™m in Talisay City, Cebu. Your updates give me hope as I want to believe your are giving me a glimpse/vision of future things to come here. Iโ€™ve been inside my house 99.5% of the time since this has started. No passes for me. Wife has the only one. Canโ€™t wait to get outside again- maybe do some basic shopping.

  12. I enjoy these vlogs when you take your time. Too often I used to walk with my eyes looking downwards to avoid any hazards. Nice to see more of the shops open. I don’t think tourism will start up properly until January. Emirates are flying from my local airport to Dubai and Manila, but as a tourist , Manila is pretty much a no go area.

  13. Hi brian and lot lot kumusta mate great walk around mate I enjoy taking a walk around angeles city. It great to see the different parts of where you are .well done to lot lot and congratulations on her new channel. Your Australian friends scott arlene and baby cj. Scott expat in the philippines. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‘

  14. Your one of the lucky ones as your in the Philippines now .. if you want to come here good luck with that .. as it is now if your not married to a Filipina you’re not welcome here .. best think ihey could have done

  15. Hi Brian, sorry what happened in Angels Bakery. The kitchen is really good there, but you are right, its the costumers service problem. Hope you are Not too angry, i will tell it Hans, when im back. Nice video, nice Walk and talk, hello to you and your wife

  16. I have heard that they have OR are about to ban the use of elevators in the Philippines AND that some condos have already shut down the elevators….
Good luck if on the high floors with the great views….
    Good walk around Brian…

  17. Kandi Tower 3 restaurant has been open two weeks now. They have a great chef that makes quality tasting dishes. Itโ€™s worth a try. Never crowded and great decor. Just donโ€™t get the mash potatoes. Itโ€™s astonishing to miss on that. However itโ€™s British, so just may be something Iโ€™m not accustom to. Kandi Tower reality has a membership program. Last i checked is was 2K a month for unlimited access to the five pools and two gyms.

  18. Hi Brain thanks for the videos always interesting to see change there when you do the walk about and to see day to day life stay safe hope the family are all healthy

  19. From what I was told a while back, maybe 7 years ago, Angeles is growing. A relative of my wife who is high up in the
Police force said donโ€™t seek your property. It seems to be becoming a reality. President Durante wants to turn Clark Free Zone into a large green city with a late international air port. With 7 terminals, I think. That would be one reason for allot of these new hotels. Weather all this actually come to be, remains to be seen.

  20. We thought about something similar at our home in Palawan but I never pulled the trigger on the idea.
Correct one would need a small fleet of trikes to really see any substantial income.
You may have already factored it in but couldn’t he also give your daughter a ride back and forth to school.
Was hoping to see Lot Take it for a spin.
They really reduced the seating capacity in the dining room of the Swiss Chalet.
We love staying there and eating there as well everytime we come up there.
    Huge portions and really good.

  21. Thanks for a good tour with you๐Ÿ™Iโ€™d love to make an appt. to that Salon๐Ÿ˜€and the rate really went down๐Ÿ˜ฉTake care always๐Ÿฅฐ

  22. The Orchid Hotel and one of the wings of Pacific Breeze are up for sale…not a good sign IMO.
Angel’s pastry is great…apple strudel, cherry crumble, cherry and blueberry pies, brownies, and slices of black forest chocolate/cherry cake. Breads and rolls of all kinds also…quite a selection…

  23. Ayo Philly…Us expats who LIVE HERE IN A.C. APPRECIATE what you do…Boots on the ground, your the best…I gots ya back Big Dawg!!! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช

  24. That is a cool little walk Brian. You are back to taking the walks but no Lot to go along with you. How is Hannah coming along? I know girls her age and that is remembering when my daughter was her age that they go through a period of silence and then one day they go back to normal, maybe she’s there now.
    Have fun Brian and family!!

  25. Thank you for the tour Brian. Amazing how you know your way around. I was stationed there and I would still get lost if I walked past the main gate..๐Ÿ˜‚ .Excellent vlogging as always.

  26. I’d like to think your slow service, as opposed to the other customer, was due to a difference in what you ordered. Maybe their meal was easier and quicker to prepare. I’d rather not think it was because you are a foreigner. Thanks for the walk around.

  27. It is good to see the Angeles city streets “cleaner” and less crowded but this does not bode well economically. This is happening worldwide. Hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, etc cannot survive long term at less than 50% capacity and with people not going out like they did pre-pan/plan/scamdemic, situation is going to get worse.

  28. There are many reasons a hotel may be open right now, the biggest being to make improvements. How on earth Philly could you have a better oppurtunity to make improvements then right now with no customers around to inconvience amoung other reasons as well. Well, obviously If a hotel is open using electricity and aircon have employees coming in they must have a reason and have plenty of money to do such, why would you question a bussiness you know nothing about ? It’s interesting you have the title you do then make such a comment ??

  29. When you order Filipino breakfast like tapsilog or tocilog, it has already been cooked before hand and just have to be dished out whereas bacon and sausage has to be cooked . 30 minutes is reasonable depending on the queue in the kitchen.

  30. Good morning Sir Brian ๐Ÿ˜Ž great walk for you this day,I hope I want to find out when Margarita Station open? thanks and God bless ๐Ÿ™

  31. Hey Brian my friend, I too know nothing. But I do know that angel’s bakery is awesome. Take care my friend. ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ˜Š

  32. Haters will be haters brotherโœŒ๏ธ
    You are living the dream.
Those who whine and complain are the real wannabes๐Ÿ˜Ž
Would love to be there when you have another live stream๐Ÿ‘

  33. nah construction workers in the philippines don’t need no hard hats or steel toe boots – just jeans and flip flops and they’re good to go!

  34. Question Florida you pay to go into the Philippines you pay the taxes and support the people why do you have to pay when you leave the airport we already have an airplane ticket is this or not extortion?

  35. Poor customer service is an understatement. I would have been inquiring as to WHY????????? I congratulate you on your composure with the breakfast issue. I would have made it verbally known I was displeased to the owner / management and than I would have left and eat somewhere else. Hoping your travel agency isn’t going to stiff you. At least they are making progress there for and opening things. These bone heads here in the States aren’t listening and things keep sliding backwards. you can’t tell the younger people anything. they want to party and now they are paying the price. COVID everywhere and increasing. Aren’t the hotel keeping their air on slightly? I would think the humidity inside the buildings could cause damage if the air isn’t left at least a low level. Wondering? Each time I see you walk between the building the post it looks so small. It must be a larger opening than it appears to be or your really skinny, ha ha ha. Have a great Day Brian.

  36. You can count at least 20 cranes from atop Central Park tower…. There’s an absolute glut of condos, even before this covid bullshit. With the way this things been handled, guys who stayed wanna get outta here and guys who left aren’t coming back, especially if you’re over 60.

  37. yo philly! you havent heard the news? the chinese are now allowed to own everything(business, land, real estate, lives, etc) courtesy of this administration! the folks are now working overtime to change the constitution while the country is still in lockdown!! real gangsters shit huh? its for their chinese masters only though so dont think of asking somebody from the states some capital. these people in government did not even blink an eye when a chinese vessel rammed a philippine boat that resulted in almost 20 lives missing presumed muerto a few days ago. not a peep and not a blink!

  38. Hey Brian good to see Angels Bakery is open. I did like the pastries there. I agree customer service is s bit ordinary. To many residential towers going up, hopefully not too fast. I miss the great food at the Clarkton Hotel restaurant, real German food and hopefully still a quality dining experience. The sausages there i found divine.

  39. The Philippines is turning into Nazi Germany faster than even the U.S. is. Such a shame. More and more expats will be looking for another country to retire in now. Many have already and will continue to leave. The economy in the Philippines will continue to go down fast at this rate of Dictatorship rule they have there now. Thanks for the video and information Brian.

  40. had the muchies back in the day went to a sub sandwich shop and this is at 2am after the bars close the sandwich shop ran out of bread now weed makes you laid back right man their was such a up roar the place went wild because of the weed we were wiling to wait over an hour for are muchies,:)
