It was a bitter sweet experience saying goodbye to the dog we’ve had for almost three years. But it could not have turned out better in the end.

  1. Of course it’s great there’s a happy ending; for you & Gloria and for your dog. On the way to the ending though I thoroughly enjoyed your wandering journey. It was almost Mark Twain style: this, related to that, which has a connection to t’other. Your natural gift. Loved it, Bud!

  2. I hear you about the constant barking, we have a dog that was tied up on a short leash all the time, and all he does is bark all the time, and even though he’s not tied up anymore he still barks. I think it’s from being tied up on a short leash all the time that causes the barking.

  3. Bud, I’ll bet you feel like a great burden has been lifted from your shoulders! It’s amazing how smoothly that all worked out for you.

  4. thats good you could rehome the dog so close and see him being taken care of. I have 3 golden retrievers I have had for 5 years since puppies. I rebomed one last month. and will have to find new homes for the other two if I move to the Philippines. Its sad but necessary to get on with life. Life circumstance have changed from what I had planned years ago.

  5. Bud I totally understand and as we get older we want to live a pretty simple life and it sounds like Malayo was not going to change, he is only next door and you will know how they do with him, Molly looked like she will miss him, give her time!

  6. My dogs (in the video on my channel) would also sneak through any hole they could find, after a while though, I noticed they would go out to do their CR biz and come back 🙂 and they would only guard what was inside the fence.

  7. That’s sad, Molly watching her friend leave. I could never give up a pet, they’re family to me. Glad you found a good home for him. Hopefully he’ll be happy and well taken care of.

  8. Animal lovers are a special breed of humans, generous of spirit, full of empathy, perhaps a little prone to sentimentality, and with hearts as big as a cloudless sky!🦮

  9. It is great that you found a great solution to your situation. I would be saying “Good Riddance”. At my age I don’t need the stress either. I do love animals but they don’t fit into our life style. Stay well. Best wishes Bob.
