  1. Excellent . This tiny tale is part of your memories now. And all part of your life story . I love history, but for the good or not so good, it was made for us to learn from and enjoy the future. I am pleased to hear your children have similar values to you.👌😊

  2. Now all of your treasures that you just couldn’t live without are gone! Oh no!

It’s funny how the things we seem to think are important are not nearly as important as we thought.

  3. I use a mail forwarding service that I can check online, and they will scan my mail if requested. $100 a year, and $1 a scan.

  4. Hello Bud u have become one of my favorites. I also like Tom and Ruth and Mike Cason but he’s gone now. Love your videos😁. My wife and are planning to move to Virac Catanduanes when covid19 clears a little. We sold our house in Feb and wanted to leave late March but COVID changed that. Hopefully we will be there soon. My wife is Filipina we’ve been married 16 yrs.

  5. I can only speak from personal experience…. Where I live you could have a storage unit for free.. This was in the USA… Last place I lived.. I gave a lot of the away… The rest I put in a dumpster… Try not to have a motion attachments.. To my stuff.. Haha.. The next thing I did.. Used my son mailing address.. For tax purposes and a few small investments I have.. Which he has been very good about…. I also used… A bank near my son’s house.. For direct deposit… From my pensions…

  6. Hello Bud! Wow 1800.00 for storage and didn’t even know what you had. Hmmmm I will make sure I sell everything. 🙂 Thank you for sharing. God Bless

  7. lol Bud. Love the video. Yeah baby. Great advice. Living here is so different, so your advice and info is always so helpful. Tx my friend.

  8. I feel your pain, Bud. I paid storage for years while living on my boat. After doing the math I found out I could have bought everything in there new for what I had paid in storage fees…twice! So, when I decided to move to the Phils I sold or gave away everything, even gave up the mail service I had and changed my address to my daughters house. Some lessons are expensive but hopefully we learn something. You are all set now, you even have a little extra coffee money every month 😀

  9. We bought a house in Minglanilla last year and are considering moving there full time. I have several of things to work out when we do. I guess all the pieces will fall into place when the time comes. Stay safe. Best wishes Bob.

  10. Bud, helpful advice! I think everybody should “Mark their calendar” (electronic or paper) to review storage & services once a year. Anything not used or forgotten should be disposed of. I see the stateside version of your remote mailbox every day. People have garages completely full of stuff they don’t use, so they park their precious autos in the driveway to keep the junk safe. 😜

  11. Get the online Traveling Mailbox Bud, you can check, forward or shred your mail online. 3 days using FedEx to receive your mail in Dumaguete.

  12. I can relate to those issues also Bud. I have used several mailbox services over the years and storage facilities. Prices change. Owners change. One had a “convenient” fire and collected insurance. Getting notified about important mail is a major issue when living overseas.

  13. After paying 1-2 years, you have finally paid more than what the goods are worth. What you would have paid in rent, you could have sent by Balikbayan box, unless it was large. We left nothing, looked into mail service. We converted to all electronic mail months before our move. You can ignore jury duty if they don’t have your latest address. I registered to vote online so DMV or voting register will update jury duty notice.
