EATING A FROG? ๐Ÿธ EXPLORING A WET MARKET IN THAILAND

JONNYS LIVING IN THAILAND VLOGS
Wet markets in Thailand are a way of life for many Thai people

“A market is the first spot that we should develop if we want to create food safety and well-being in the community. A market is not just a place where people come to buy and sell foods. It is a focal point in the production chain. It forges connectivity between producers and consumers,”

“Despite fresh markets being a way of life for Thais and still popular with locals, we find that the young generation is starting to shift to modern shops. It is not that the young generation is turning their backs on traditional fresh markets. They want to buy food from a clean market, markets that are not wet and dirty,”

“Currently, little organic food and vegetables are sold at wet markets because the market itself is not a place where vendors and organic farmers can sell premium products. So, we need to find a way to make a wet market a place that can promote healthy organic products where both sellers and buyers are happy.”

  2. Nice Vlog Jonny. I gonna give the toad a wide berth and most of the sea food. The chicken and pork always looks great in those markets. Crikey the size of that Minion, poor old Sebastian was probably wondering whether to hump it or play with it. Stay safe and take care.

  3. Itโ€™s a bit $50 if you can eat the tote. Frogs quite tasty. Or snails like both of them . Another great video Johnny you know how toMash it up

  4. I’ve never seen durian cooked like that before…. that just looked supremely nasty. The guy chopping chicken… WOW, I can’t believe he didn’t cut a finger off, he was goooood….. I was glad to see you put the slimy jumper back….. Did you see where one monastery put a mask on a huge Buddha statue?

  5. It’s interesting that some western medias, such as 60 minutes Australia or British channel 4 news, are portraying Chatuchak’s pet section and “wet markets” in Thailand as barbaric, unhygienic, virus infested, and Wuhan in the making.

  6. The meat and fish you buy does it have to be cooked on the day. will it keep in the fridge?
I have had frogs legs snails winkles all very nice. I would draw the line at the bats because they carry all sorts of nastiness haha
The prices are excellent. Quality product.

  7. JSH. What if you lick the back of the cane toad ? Or is that just the ones in the southern parts of the USA ?… could replace a session on the suds..

  8. Missing those markets so much. Whatโ€™s the location of this one? Went back home to Norway mid March for a week and got stuck here. Not sure when I can get myself back to Hua Hin again ๐Ÿ˜•

  9. Did som end up buying durian and how much was it Napa brought 2 from a city near her home yesterday 140 baht a kilo it only lasted 5 mins when she got home she is the big 30 tomorrow
