Portofino Beach Resort is located on the east side of Mactan Island. Most of the facilities are made from all-natural materials like bamboo. There are several wood and bamboo cottages near the ocean for rent. Their pool is large enough to handle several families easily. This is an older beach resort, I do not know the exact age but believe it to be 10 or more years. Definitely, a nice place to spend a day enjoying the sun and ocean. At our covered area there was a constant breeze blowing in over the ocean that lasted all day so I was never hot. This is a great place to recharge frayed nerves, with its cozy ambiance of bamboo and nipa hut atmosphere, along with the Filipino type hospitality makes it a great choice for your outing. I have to say I really enjoyed our visit to Portofino Beach Resort.
