  1. He’s pretty darn Knowledgable…. I’m learning a few things from him …..About the Mexican peso, he seem’s to know what he is  talking about…….In regards to silver: ” Peru’s production tripled in the 18th c surpassing the 17th
rate.  Mexico’s production twice as large as Peru’s during most of the
18th.  The Mexican peso became common currency in Africa, India, China,
Siberia and the Pacific Islands.  It circulated freely in the USA up
    to the mid-19th c.

    1. @circle5dreamer yes. he and i, along with rose, lyn and a viewer with his girlfriend (tony & yenyen).. we all spent the day swimming yesterday at ocean24. had a great time. 🙂

  2. question for ya what happens if you find anything from ww11 in the philippines ? can you keep it ? or must it be handed over to the goverment.?

  3. While I’m not a student of Filipino history, this man said that when the Japanese gave independence to the Phils in 1943, did he mean “give”? Because as far as I know, we kicked their asses out of there when Gen. MacArthur returned…..

  4. Thank you Henry for sharing this video tour of the Museum!

One of my reasons for visiting the Philippines for the first time in 2013 was my interest in World War II history.  My father was a U.S. Marine with the 2nd Marine Division in the Pacific for three years.  His combat engagements did not include the Philippines but in learning about his tour of duty I became interested in the history of the war in the Philippines.

I took a tour of Corregidor Island on my third trip to the Philippines in 2013 and was fascinated by the history of that military outpost.  Thanks again for bringing the Philippines to me until I can visit there again someday!

  5. Can someone please tell me if it is extremely hard for a 45 yr. old woman to get a job in Manila? I hear that age discrimination is very prevalent in the Phils…

    1. @MrMongo321 i would say your best bet would be to check out some call-centers (online) and maybe talk to their HR department about possible openings, especially if your english is fluent. other jobs, especially if dealing with the public.. employers prefer employees between 18-25 years of age and are allowed to discriminate here on that basis.

    2. You are correct…. they work on contract basis for 6 months and your employee doesn’t have to renew your contract and age discrimination is horrible there …. that doesn’t mean you couldn’t get a job, but if you are not a Philippines citizen I’m sure the red tape involved must be a real hassle , unless you had some job specialty they really needed and your employer helped you….plus th ewages would be very low by American standards……. Not that I have experience working there , my observation comes from just having been there and lived there for up to 6 months at a time. Henry might have more to say on this if you emailed him…..

  6. Hi love your video…but in this series…you keep repeating over and over and over again…OH WOW,which makes you sound soooo superficial, like a Californian on the broadwalk!

  7. Rek. i always wanted to see things from ww2 in phils. asked the people around in manila. There is another small one in palawan. Thanks mate i will definately visit.
