I don’t think parades get the attention they used to have in the USA. Also, who were the soldiers?
the soldiers were the philippine army…..
@Steven Hardy Will you be attending? After all, it’s important to show civic pride.
@LifeBeyondTheSea – Philippines Maybe they’re Filipino Preppers! That would be cool.
@John Strabismus most of those were actually air-rifle enthusiasts. they really get into it here. but i think i did see a few real firearms as well.
Looks like a lot of fun.
Yes – everybody loves a parade!
Hi henry, hi ned 🙂 thats cool you guys run into each other both you guys have awsome channels, looks like a nice parade going on there thanks for taking us along, those go pros do a really nice job on these videos, have fun 🙂
@matt hajas yah, it was totally unplanned. i got a text from joan about 3pm that the parade had started, so i just drove over, parked and began filming as i worked through the crowd. then i saw ned there. ha!
Loved the video! It’s one of your best yet.
@Lawrence Jones thanks. 🙂
What Sandurots means?why the army including the parade and it’s like 1 battalion only . mmm but I noticed dumaguete is very clean. I can’t see any garbage on the streets.
@Rick Anderson thanks
@Rick Anderson wow thank you.. Sorry I really didn’t know about it
@LifeBeyondTheSea – Philippines oh I see thank you. I’m a filipina but I don’t know about it.
@Rona Pestilos most of those ‘military’ people were air-soft/paintball clubs. the meaning of ‘sandurot’ is basically a sense of unity, sharing and fellowship.
Dumaguete must be a small town
@estylz1967 for me, living on the edge of town, near the province but still close to the city.. that’s the best. 🙂
when i finally retire i’m looking for a nice medium size city like Iloilo ,Bacolad or Dumaguete to move to with the wifey!
@estylz1967 it’s about medium as cities go here in the ph. this is only a portion of the parade. 🙂
That was very cool! Two of my favorite people! Get popz in on it!
@Goearthtour mehhh.. 3’s a crowd. ha!
henry ,in your previous video ,Sandurot Festival Walkabout, 2014 – Dumaguete, Philippines,i mentioned to you ,there would be fiesta for two more days.. i hoped u wouldve read it earlier.. so you could know this early. ok peace kuya
@p tm i get forgetful.. i may have seen it. plus, i rarely know what day it is here. truly, unless i ask someone, it doesn’t cross my mind to think what day it is.
Thanks for the upload. I was there at the parade just infront of MicroValley and i saw you and Ned talking
I didnt know that there would be a parade yesterday and i dont have my camera with me 🙁
A fav name of mine is gretchen!!!
Sure 🙂
@gretchen esguerra ahh, well, if you see me again in town feel free to come say, ‘hi’. it’s always nice to meet anyone in person from the channel. 🙂
Nice parade. Do you run into Ned very often?
@Rich Schwartz kinda random since he’s a day-walker. i’m usually out and about town late at night.
I liked the costumes the girls had on. That is the McDonald’s that I have my coffee in the mornings at the outside eating area.
Remember, Michell and I will volunteer to watch your humble abode the next time you head off the US. 🙂
Awesome! You guys should do more videos together..and other vloggers too, if possible. It’s fun to watch
I had a feeling youd run into one another one day 🙂 …
I have boots like those from my twirling days !! Who was the funny lookin bald headed American dude you met there….kidding… Hi Ned !
@Aprille Shepherd In Kommyfornia, you’d be so “normal” looking as to be BORING!. LOL
I’m a blonde haired blue eyed 29 year old lesbian…they think I am pretty funny lookin too 😉
“Funny looking bald dude??”
Hmphh!
Finally we see you and Ned together and not only in a blur like the snorkeling video… You guys should make a coop video of some kind like a q&a or a friendly discussion on single VS. relationship life 🙂 +Philippine Dreams
Nice Henry amazing who you meet in a parade wow those girls were cute some of the marching girls you and Ned having a good chat
Alright Brother Henry! Nice to see a “regular” parade. Being from Kommyfornia, I always get the freak-show! LOL.
Thanks for sharing this video sir! 🙂 Did u get to eat loads of letchon last fiesta? 🙂 I hope u also checkout my vlogs. I can’t wait to come home. I see that they changed the venue for the vendors now. They used to be located by the City Central School.
@MyLoveSeiri DeMaria no lechon, but lots of corn on the cob. hehe 🙂 but i do love lechon.
Hehe u bump net
I was in Dumaguete in July and early in the morning a parade marched by my hotel ( Essentia ) It was in honor of some saint ( can’t keep them all straight ) Some college aged girls saw me watching from the balcony and giggled, so I waved and they waved back and giggled some more. Good innocent fun. I might have giggled a little myself
Thank you for sharing Reekay!!!! be safe.
What a crack up to bump into Ned…Hey where is Michele
@Matt Vierra i think she was at work while we were out goofing off. 🙂
i miss that guys videos too… what’s his name again? please, other than you henry, i was searching his vids too.
The girls were far more organized than the men…
Is there a purpose or theme for this parade?
The purpose of this parade is to commemorate both the charter day of Dumaguete City and the theme of this parade is about pirates raiding the city and what we have done to fight back against them. In this video, it’s only displaying the bands from the schools of the city and not really the festival itself. It’s only the introduction of the festival.
@Dennis Weifenbach it’s something of an inter-community, local (barangay) festival, a little smaller than the buglasan festival which is island-wide.
hehehe Ned from Philippine Dreams. I saw his video where you two met for this parade. He looks different when it’s not POV. =)
That guy a .55 sec… lol
wow! they even have real sundalong may mga tutoung barel in the parade ..
I love Philippines
